BEING RETIRED I APPROACHED THIS COURSE WITH APPREHENSION AS I FELT THAT THE COMPUTER AGE HAD BYPASSED ME.

I NEED NOT HAVE FEARED. I FOUND THE COURSE VERY HELPFUL AND CONFIDENCE-BUILDING. OUR TUTOR JOHN LEAHY IS A BORN TEACHER OF EXCEPTIONAL PATIENCE, KINDNESS AND COURTESY. HE MADE THE COURSE ENJOYABLE AND SOCIABLE BY CULTIVATING A RELAXED AND HAPPY TEAM SPIRIT AMONG THE PARTICIPANTS. I PERSONALLY BENEFITTED ENORMOUSLY UNDER HIS DIRECTION BY BECOMING FROM BEING A COMPUTER ILLITERATE TO A CONFIDENT OPERATOR OF E-MAIL, INTERNET USAGE AND GENERAL MANAGEMENT OF ELECTRONIC MAIL.

I CONFIDENTLY RECOMMEND THIS COURSE TO ANYONE WHO MAY BE APPREHENSIVE. I WAS DELIGHTED THAT I COMPLETED THE COURSE AND WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND JOHN AS ONES TUTOR; ONE WON'T FIND BETTER.

REGARDING THE VENUE: IT IS VERY MODERN, COMFORTABLE, CLEAN WITH A VERY ATTENTIVE, HELPFUL AND COURTEOUS ANCILLARY STAFF.

I agree wholeheartedly with all the comments by DAITHI. Our tutor John had endless patience and at the same time he challenged us all the way -so much so I want to repeat the Course so as to be more comfortable with the Internet and Email

I have just completed a computer internet skills course at K.E.S.
The first comment i have to make has to be about John Leahy our
Information technology tutor. I would like to thank him for being a
patient good humoured excellent teacher. He created an atmosphere which was pleasant and friendly.

I was a complete beginner and during the course i learned how to surf the net,compose and send emails,reply to emails and send attachments. I also learned how to archive emails etc. etc. I can now say i am computer literate.

Having attended several courses at CDP all taught by John Leahy, I have learned many skills in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. John makes everyone feel at home, if you have a problem he will give you his undivided attention. John has tons of patience which he needs at times. I now know more about the computer now than I thought I ever thought I could, from excel, word, skype, camera, and one or two more. Thanks John for all your patience and kindness.

Before I started this course with John, I was completely dependent on my kids to do anything on the computer and have to admit I felt like a dinosaur!!! Now thanks to John I am able to check websites of interest to me, I have set up my own email address, can open and reply to emails and send attachments, I can't believe how much I have learned and in such a friendly atmosphere, as well as learning I have met a great bunch of people. Thank you John for your endless patience and your wonderful way of sharing your knowledge.

I too was a complete beginner and definitely thought myself beyond learning ! However thanks to the unfailing patience of our tutor John Leahy and his wonderful teaching skills I am now quite capable of sending emails, surfing the net, making Posters. Would love to continue learning, with John as tutor.

I attend the computer skills course at Castleisland College. John Leahy is the tutor on the course. Nobody is left trailing behind while everyone else moves ahead. John makes sure the pace of learning is comfortable for all of his class. I learnt a couple of gems of new information every week which will stay with me every time i use a computer,thereby saving me time and stress. Highly recommendable is my verdict. 5 star rating.

When I was forced to phone our son in Dublin to book rail tickets for me I decided to do something about it I started this course with some trepidation but what a joy it was to have a tutor who is patient corteous always so pleasant and above all so hard working.--thank you John

This is a fantastic course.I now feel quiet confident sending emails + attachments.Before this I could not attempt sending attachments .John is an excellent teacher and feel very lucky to have a place on his class. Thank you John.

You have done it again John - you have imparted knowledge with your usual good humour, patience and above all skill. You make learning so enjoyable - I must say I have loved every moment which I have spent in your class & look forward to continuing on with my e-learning. It's never too late to teach an old dog new tricks !!!!! You promoted team building within the class which we all appreciated and we gelled so well together.

Again I found this course excellent. John has so much patience. He was so willing to answer my queries in a very respectful manner. Would be very interested in progressing with other courses and hopefully I would be lucky enough to get John as the Tutor. Will finish by saying thank you so much John, everything is appreciated. Also the interaction between the other members on this course was so enjoyable, it created a real team spirit.

Just finished the Internet Skills course and i found it very beneficial. I have just completed the Internet Skills course. I found the course absolutely brilliant and informative mainly due to tutor John Leahy. John is a fantastic tutor. He is patient, kind and refuses to leave anyone behind. The atmosphere in the class was relaxed, happy with no pressure whatsoever. I am thrilled with my newfound knowledge on the Internet and really looking forward to the next course..

I enjoyed the Internet Skills course very much. It was very practical and I learned a lot. I am now confident in surfing the net and managing my e-mails.
John is a very patient and good-humoured teacher. He makes a very pleasant atmosphere in the classroom.
This CDP is an excellent facility. All staff are pleasant and welcoming. Rooms are warm, clean and bright.

Excellent course, it was good for refreshing my skills that were outdated. The course contents were ideal for those wishing to learn about Internet and emails, and it was also ideal for those wishing to update this skills. I would highly recommend this course for everybody, young and old.
